March Graphic Quilters Game
"Farm Animals Easter Parade"
Starts March 4 til March24
Suzie will send out each day a tube that we
must put on a square for our quilt.
Out in the country down on a big farm
The animals all gathered they heard the alarm!

The Big metal lid that hangs on the barn
Someone had hit, Hit it real Hard!
Some sat in the oak limbs Some on the ground

As they waited to hear
What storm had been spotted
What disaster had been found
The sky was powder blue not a dark cloud anywhere

Just a gentle breeze with the smell of lilacs,
Hyacinth and Lilies in the air.

The big old goose, The oldest one living
Stood on a barrel In front of the pump house
And waited until all was quiet And listening

He cleared his throat
Everyone strained to see and hear
What could be this important To bring them all here?
"I grandfather Gander recorder and mayor of this farm
do hereby declare it officially time to bring
out our annual spring celebrations and Easter time fling!

Mother Goose
This year will be different I have decided
to start with a big parade and your all invited.

So dig out your best hat and Tune up your fiddle

And Fanny Hare will help her with all the children and new mothers.

So let's get busy ! let's have some fun!"
Oh the excitement!

The chatter, laughter and giggles
The Secrets and whispers that followed
As each Animal prepared their best
For a day of Fun A Day of Rest

Two days later When it was time
There was scurrying and shuffling
As they gathered in Line

First came the band , a sweet melody they played
as they marched slowly around the yard
to start the Parade

next came the ladies, with elegance steps
Showing off their great fancy decorated hats

Followed by the children and Babies
So cute in Lace and ruffles

Then came the Guys with vests and ties canes and top hats
some even had on very fancy spats!

To the rear were the horses, cows and sheep stepping lively
as they hummed out loud and Shuffled their feet

The last was a wagon all decorated all fine
Filled with more goodies for them all to dine
What wonderful time! What a Glorious Day!
They all agreed to make it a habit
to always have an Easter parade
